This century-old metal pier on Iracema Beach, inspired by Brighton Pier and built by a British firm between 1902 and 1921, juts out over the Atlantic and is one of Fortaleza's most beloved free landmarks. Come at the end of the day for vivid sunsets, and watch for dolphins that often pass by in the early morning or late afternoon. After a 2024 renovation it reopened with a new wooden walkway and a cetacean observation tower.
